What is home procurement?

Home procurement is the professional process of sourcing, purchasing, coordinating, and delivering every element needed to make a residence fully furnished and livable — from furniture and lighting to art, bedding, tableware, and decorative objects. A home procurement studio manages this entire process on the client's behalf, handling supplier relationships, production timelines, international logistics, quality control, and final installation.

What does Atelier Sélect do?

Atelier Sélect is a global home curation, procurement, and styling studio based in New York. We furnish and style complete residences for private clients, international buyers, boutique hospitality projects, and real estate partners. Our services cover interior direction, global sourcing, custom art and furniture commissions, production tracking, international logistics and customs, white-glove installation, and final styling — all coordinated through one team and one point of contact.

Can you furnish a property if I'm based in another country?

Yes. Remote furnishing for international clients is one of our core specialisms. We act as the client's complete representative in the local market — attending showrooms, inspecting productions, supervising deliveries, and managing installation on their behalf. Decisions are presented clearly and remotely, and the client receives a complete, styled residence without needing to be present throughout the process.

What cities does Atelier Sélect work in?

Atelier Sélect is based in New York and has completed projects in London, Dubai, Los Angeles, Seoul, Paris, and Miami. We work across borders and can manage international sourcing and logistics for residences in any major city.

What is the difference between interior design and home procurement?

Interior design focuses on the conceptual and spatial dimensions of a space — the design vision. Home procurement focuses on execution: sourcing the right items, managing the supply chain, and delivering a complete physical result. At Atelier Sélect, we offer both through a single team, ensuring full alignment with no gaps in accountability.

How long does it take to furnish a luxury apartment?

A complete luxury apartment typically takes four to eight months from initial brief to final styling. Custom furniture from European manufacturers regularly has lead times of 16 to 24 weeks. We recommend beginning the procurement process at or before closing to minimize the period during which a property sits empty.

How much does it cost to fully furnish a luxury apartment in New York?

Fully furnishing a high-end New York apartment typically ranges from $150,000 to $500,000 or more, depending on property size, customization level, and the degree of bespoke or commissioned pieces involved. We establish a clear budget framework at the outset of every engagement.

What is included in a full home procurement service?

A complete home procurement engagement includes: site survey and measurements, interior design direction, global supplier sourcing, custom and bespoke item commissions, order coordination and production tracking, quality control, international logistics and customs management, white-glove delivery and installation, and final styling. Smart home and AV coordination is also available.

What is turnkey interior design?

Turnkey interior design is a complete, end-to-end furnishing service where a single team manages every step from design direction to final styling. The client is not required to coordinate vendors, manage deliveries, or supervise installation. The residence is delivered fully furnished, fully styled, and ready to live in from day one. Atelier Sélect provides turnkey interior design and procurement for luxury residences in New York and globally.
